Where Rhythm Becomes Form...
HAUS is a speculative brand identity for a house music club conceived as a space for creatives rather than a conventional nightlife venue. Developed in collaboration with DJ and designer Bryce Carson, the project reimagines the club as an intimate, culture-driven environment—hosting small gatherings focused on music, experimentation, and community.
Bryce initiated the concept and existing logo, guiding the overall creative direction. My role focused on translating the vision into a scalable typographic system.
The identity is driven by typography. Inspired by concrete poetry and the beats of house music itself, I developed a modular system of dense text blocks that function as both content and pattern. The repetition and rhythm of the typography echo the structure of house music—steady, immersive, and layered. Type becomes texture, building visual cadence across applications.
Imagery is treated through fragmentation and blur, reflecting the sensory dissolution of being absorbed in sound. Together, the typographic rhythm and distorted visuals construct an identity that mirrors the physical and emotional experience of house music.
