Tonia Zhang is a Chinese graphic designer specializing in visual identity, typography, and flexible systems. Born in Beijing, raised in Moscow, and educated in Abu Dhabi, she brings an international perspective to her work. Tonia’s RISD MFA thesis is an investigation of design as a tool to make invisible systems perceptible by focusing on their smallest visible effects. Tonia’s work is concept-driven, systematic, and experiments with ways to make type come alive.
